WRITING MOTIVATION

We are called to be "SUCCESS". We were not born to be success and it was success because we were rich, we had Doctor title. NO!
ONE: In relation to ourselves: Maximize in accordance with the Calling.
- Matthew 5: 48 (Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.)
- Matthew 5: 14-46 (The parable of the talents)
- There were five (5) famous people in Indonesia started with "Rudi". They are:
2. Rudi Salam, actor.
3. Rudi Hartono, badminton player.
4. Rudi Khoirudin, cook.
5. Rudi Habibie, president.
Who were success among those 5 Rudis? All of them succeeded. Each of them were success.
They succeeded in their fields because they focused and maximized in doing their jobs. They
were not half-half.
- Mathin Luther said that if you became a janitor, be a janitor who was like Beethoven that changed and arranged the music.
TWO: In relation to other people: Give positive influences.
- Matthew 5: 13-16 (Salt and light of the world)
- Trail or what work would we leave behind? People would remember us as what?
- We were called to be blesses to others.
THREE: In relation to God: Glorify the Name of God.
- Romans 11: 36 (For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.)
- 1 Thessalonians 2: 4 (But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which tests our hearts.)
- We should have what was called by Holy Ambition - sublime vision in life.
Could we become a successful person by writing...???
---> It was too pity if a church had more verbal and oral services than written ones.
---> Pastor Ayub wrote daily reflections entitled Lentera Jiwa which was spread for all Christians in suburbs and villages.
ONE: To Be A Maximal Person in accordance with calling.
Calling: TO BE A PROFESSIONAL WRITER
WRITING AS A SIDEJOB: (Could maximize our talents)
- Building the systematic thinking patterns.
- A means of growing (faith) and increasing (knowledge). By writing, we became smart. Not vice verca.
- Sharpening the skill of conveying/expressing thoughts.
- A good writing was entertaining, giving spirit, strengthening, and healing (In short: It brought goodness).
- From writing, it grew the spirit of someone who was desperate and greeted him.
- It also could heal the broken relationship.
- We existed because the writings of God through the Bible; thus, we understood and felt the work of God's love.
- Many people repented because of writing. For example, the daily reflections were spread in Nusa Kambangan prison. Through this writing, a person(s) could turn back to Lord.
- This world (we) would not be a world (us) as now existed when there were no writings that read from generation to generation.
- Google kept 500 millions titles of books and put in the outer space. Thus, later, when our civilization did not exist anymore, probably 1000 years in advance, people could dig and know what were like the people in this era from the writings.
THREE: To Glorify the Name of God.
- A good writing brought people to Christ, and made people worship and love God.
- Be born and grew of Christianity --- not separated from the work of the pages.
- God ordered us to write (Jeremiah 30: 2, Exodus 34: 27, etc.).
- God Himself wrote (Exodus 24: 12, Daniel 5: 25).
- Writing could reach more time and space because it could be read everywhere and could be repeated.
- Writing is a culture, tradition to fight.
- LATIN: "Verba Volant, Scripta Manent" = Utterance drifted away, writings remained.
Could we become success people by writing...???
YES, WE COULD...!!!!
We live with carrying out the '"Mission" of God.
We are missionaries in the role and place of each of us.
Our paper could become a valuable heritage of civilization.
