16 Days Left: Happy 1st Advent
Sunday, 1 December 2013 --- Today, in the 1st Advent, it came to the first day of a month where the month of me to be back to Indonesia. The date would be the same as the title of this writing. I could not wait for it because I miss my family (my daughters, Audrey and Betrice, and my husband), my colleagues, my classmates, my supervisors, my neighbors, and also my services in church. I was glad that the time would be soon for me to leave Singapore. I did hope that many lessons I got from this country, especially from my great mentor, Mr. Willy Ardian Renandya, could lead me to the path of being a useful person.
Usually on Sunday, I woke up late. However, today, I woke up earlier because I was so happy preparing myself to attend to a wedding party of a friend who sold food in Muslim Food stall. The reception was at 11 A.M. - 5 P.M at Woodlands Avenue 5. I started from Farrer Road MRT at 10 A.M. to Woodlands MRT. The party was about 8 minutes walking from the Woodlands MRT to the south. When I came, the holy matrimony was being held in the bride's apartment. So, when I asked a man who was busy preparing the souvenir, he suggested me to go up to the apartment meeting directly with the bride and the groom. So I went up and thank God, I could meet the beautiful woman dressed in a wonderful and elegant wedding dress. She was Ms. Tini, the bride. She was so beautiful. I had time to take pictures with her. Then, she had to change her dress before going down and welcoming all the guests. So, I went down to the reception place where the food was there. I enjoyed eating the reception food. All the food are delicious. While I was eating, the bride and the groom came and sat of their aisle seats. Before I went home, I gave my envelope (money) to the bride, took picture again for the last, and then went home. Happy Wedding Day, Ms. Tini and Mr. Sowleh.

From the wedding party, I did not go home but directly went to church for today's service. I came earlier to church because my choir team "Eklesia" practiced five (5) songs for Caroling. Caroling was a special fellowship held for elderly people in church. It was held after public worship. The Caroling was so simple fellowship but very impressive. The elderly people (most of them were old women) shared their thankfulness to God for having a chance this year God still kept looking after them. They did also feel happy because they were still alive and could celebrate Christmas even their illnesses were more and more. I was so happy to have a chance meeting and servicing them. We sang '
Hai Mari Berhimpun', '
Di Malam Sunyi Bergema', '
Hai Dunia Gembiralah', '
Alam Raya Berkumandang', and '
Christmas Comes Again'. And then, the last song were sung all together '
We Wish You a Merry Chritsmas'. What a beautiful moment servicing the elderly!
