15 Days Left: Cloudy Outside, Not Inside
Monday, 2 December 2013 --- The first day on the new week of December was so cloudy in Singapore. A whole day, Singapore was covered by a dark cloudy weather. And several times it also rained. The NIE library, a place where I study, was already cold because of the central air-conditioning; moreover, it became colder because of the weather outside. Even though it was cloudy outside, I tried to not let myself being cloudy because of unanswered situation I faced lately. I tried to be happy and keep smiling. That supported me to keep studying here. I was so happy too today because I could join lunch with the elderly library worker in the canteen. Actually, they have finished eating but they would like to wait for me finishing my vegetarian healthy food today. While eating, we chatted so many things especially about Bangladesh men. That made me know more about this country.
My oldest daughter had her final examination started from this day until 9 December. Today, she had Religion and Indonesian language. She had studied these two lessons since last week. Last Saturday night, when I called my princesses, Audrey gave me an educated games. She gave me the definition of one word that I should guess the answer. For example, she said, "It is a story of animal." Then, I answered, "Fable, Kak." She said, "Mama is correct." And more questions she asked me as if she was the teacher. By doing this, Audrey could absorb the lesson easily. I was proud of her. However, this morning, she got cough. This could effect her in answering the exam. My sister-in-law, Mama Ara, was a doctor. She had given a cough medicine to Audrey. Hopefully tomorrow she would be better. Tonight, I called her to ask about the exams schedule for tomorrow. She said PPKn (Pancasila Education and Citizenship) and Mandarin. I would pray for her Exam Day 2 and her sickness.
The point of my writing today was that when I was so happy and faithful talking to the people around me nicely. Hoping my struggle of anything would not be wasted. I would let my cloudy outside then, not inside.
Be blessed and be blessing.
Cheers,
Natalia C.
