11 Days Left: Free Night Safari
Friday, 6 December 2013 --- About 11.40 A.M., almost noon, Singapore had a very heavy raining. The sound of the thunder seemed very close to me. This was the most heaviest raining I have ever had in Singapore which followed by loud storm and thunder. Was it because already December so that in this tropical country, it rained more frequent? Just as same as in Sidoarjo, East Java, Indonesia my hometown where December was always a month heavy raining season. In Javanese,
Desember (December) meant
gede-gede ne sumber. It was translated as
The Amount of Water Source. From the literal name of this month, it could be said that Singapore and Indonesia would have large-amount of water source.
This Friday, I chose to study at home because in the afternoon, I was invited to go to Night Safari by Felis. She had four (4) free tickets and I was asked to invite another friend to accompany Felis and her husband, Ronald. I was so happy and excited to join her. So, I contacted Noel, our friend in church who taught at Singapore Polytechnic in Dover. At 4.30 P.M., I went to Noel's campus and both of us together went to Night Safari. On our way by MRT to Jurong East, we got message that Felis went by herself from home (same way with us) while Ronald was also alone direct from his office (different way with us). So, Noel and I waited for Felis at Choa Cho Kang MRT. Only five minutes of waiting for Felis, then three of us had gathered and then continued our trip to the Night Safari by Bus 927. It was about 20 minutes we had arrived at Night Safari and Ronald also arrived there five minutes after us. Full team!

It took about thirty minutes for us to decide what to eat and where. But then, we decided to eat first before entering the Night Safari. We had Burger and it was treated by Ronald where actually Noel who wanted to treat us because yesterday (5 Dec) was his birthday. So kind of both of them. After finishing our dinner, we went into the safari. The first thing we did was that we watched the show at 8.30 P.M. I liked the show. It was so entertaining, not because of the animals only but the host. He was so creative and funny host. In about an hour we enjoyed the show. After that, we went around the Night Safari by tram to go along the lush forest. We were so glad seeing the amazing creatures God had given to us on our left and right sight. We might not use flash when taking photos of those animals. After about 30-45 minutes going around by tram, we walked to the Wallaby cave and tried to find python because Ronald loved to see it. We had so much fun. Then we went back home at 11 by the same when we came to Night Safari. Thank God, we still could catch the last MRT to our own homes. It was a great night spending together with lovely friends. Thank you Felis, Ronald, and Noel (I waited for our photos). May God bless you all.
