14 Days Left: Give Thanks
Tuesday, 3 December 2013 --- Just like usual, this morning, I went to campus about 8.30 and arrived at 10. I went a little bit late from usual actually because I had my clothes being washed. The weather today was nicer and hotter than yesterday so it was good to wash clothes. That was why, my clothes were easily dry. I was so happy staying here at Mrs. Anna condominium with so many facilities provided for me, i.e. washing machine, bathroom with water heater, a nice bedroom complete with a big flat TV screen and air-conditioning, and free food cooked by Mrs. Karti from Purwokerto. I gave thanks for all of those things.
This morning, Li Li (a friend from China) came to me and shared a book she would like to borrow in this week. Before she would do it, she gave me first to have a look at it. The book was about literacy and she knew that I was writing about it too. It was a so thick book. Its thick was about 4 cm. She reminded me to borrow books as many as I could (max. 20 books for Master and Ph.D. students) this week. Because next Monday until late December, Level 4 of the library would be closed for re-carpeting. So, students could study at the Level 2 and 3. Because English Language Learning (ELL) books were at Level 4, so it would be better if I borrowed them first and used them to study at the other levels opened. Li Li also told me that I could scan any chapters of a book or the book itself at the Level 2. I just knew if there was a scanner machine in this campus. Apparently, there were 2 machines, one in the library Level 2 and the other was at Student Hub. In that afternoon, Li Li taught me how to use that machine. I tried to scan my student ID card and student's pass. Then, I continued scan one thick book entitled
Lenses on Reading: An Introduction to Theories and Models (2012). Not bad! It was about 1 hour 15 minutes for me to scan 260 pages book from the cover page till the back cover and then, transfer it in to my flash disk. I gave thanks for Li Li for teaching me many things before my leaving. Good luck with your study, Li Li.

My greatest thanks I aimed to Mr. Willy A. Renandya and Mrs. Siani Indarwati. Thank you for your attention, discipline and kindness that taught me to be a better person as long as my staying in Singapore. Thank you for receiving me well at National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, taking me to gather in the West Region Fellowship (PW) and in Orchard Road Presbyterian Church (ORPC or Gereja Presbiterian Orchard/GPO). I have got a lot of friends, opportunities to serve, and blessings to strengthen me for here. Special thanks to Mr. Willy and Mrs. Siani who had entertained me with dinner at Ichibann Japanese Restaurant today. It was extraordinary tasty and unforgettable. May the blessings and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ always be with Mrs. Siani and Mr. Willy.
