6 Days Left: Proud of You
Wednesday, 11 December 2013 --- This day was full of blesses. I could go to campus even not in schedule (I was late about an hour from my own schedule), scan three (3) thick books at Self-Service Center in the NIE Student Hub., meet Li Li, meet NIE librarian - Mr. Tan, have lunch at Muslim Food stall, and have dinner invitation from Eddy Tjandra. I felt so much love from God. He has sent me to meet many good people in this country, Singapore. If two days ago I just stayed at home because I was afraid of the riots in Little India; however, today, I felt so fit to go out and prepare to say goodbye to people I knew and became my friends. In building friendship, I loved to be with anybody. I never saw whether she/he was a cleaning service, a librarian, a canteen food seller, a technician. No. Today I met those people who already got acquaintance with me to say goodbye and gave them just a little souvenir from Indonesia. I did hope I would meet them in Indonesia. In this first paragraph I would like to say, "I am proud of You, Lord. You have shown and given me great people in Singapore."
While having my lunch, I got news from my husband. He sent me all Audrey's results of her final exams last week until last Monday. She got very good scores. Her Religion: 96, Javanese: 98, Social Science: 91, SBK (Art, Culture, and Skill): 98, Science: 100, Mathematics: 100, Mandarin: 84, PKn (Pancasila & Citizenship): 92, English: 98, and Indonesian: 100. At the first time I knew these, I cried because I was so happy and sad. I was happy because she could reach those scores even she was sick last week. I was sad because I could not be with her and accompany her studying. I was so proud of her. Mama was so proud of you, Kakak Audrey. She was a smart girl and would like to study by herself. Thank you to Mama Ara (my sister-in-law) who always accompanied her studying. Audrey just needed someone sitting next to her her but she studied alone. However, Mama Ara said that only for the Mathematics she taught and trained Audrey for several times using white board. That was shy, Audrey could finish her Maths exam faster than her friends last Friday. And then she could continue doing the other two (2) subjects to replace her Thursday's absent because of sick. Hence, she did Social Science & SBK very quickly too. What made me proud of her was not because of her good scores but her efforts in finishing those final examinations successfully even when was sick. Thank you for it and Mama loved you so much.
