31 Days Left
Saturday, 16 November 2013 --- It is weekend and it means it's my time to spend my leisure. Wake up at 6.45 A.M. just to go to the toilet. Funnily, Bu Karti (a cook in this apartment) greeted me by saying, "Koq sudah bangun, Bu? Masih pagi ini. Bobok lagi saja, Bu." ("Why have you waken up, Ma'am? It's still morning. Just go back to sleep again.") What a warming greeting in the morning. Then, I go back to my room. Lying back again on my bed but I can't sleep anymore. I read some reflections, though, while listening Christmas songs. It is 'Michael Buble Home for Christmas 2011 (Full show)'.
Every day, I watch and listen to this video. I like listening to the songs and learn their language. Christmas songs are always soothing especially when I am far from my family. It is really connecting my feeling to my family in Indonesia. 31 days left I will leave Singapore and meet them. We will celebrate this Christmas Eve together. I am so glad. From Michael Buble video, in a minute of 22:30, there is a lovely guest, Gary Barlow (Take That). Both of them sing 'Home', Michael's album. It is a touchy song. Then, they sing Gary's song 'Rule the World'. It is not a term of reciprocation but the quality of their voices & its musical instruments which are combined and make a beautiful blend of songs.
Well, this morning day is really my spare time. It is almost 11.30 and I just want to take my shower. I thank God for today especially for my 1st daily journal before I leave Singapore in 16 December 2013. I am so blessed to be in Singapore where I learn so many things. One of those things is having this blog. Writing in blog just happened a couple week ago for me. I learn a lot from the people I meet here. Thank you to Mr. Willy Ardian Renandya, Felis Dwiyasa, Monica Radytia Chrismawati, and Pastor Ayub Yahya who has inspired me to write this daily journal. Many thanks to Gereja Presbiterian Orchard (GPO) - Jemaat Berbahasa Indonesia, (Orchard Road Presbyterian Church - ORPC) Singapore, which the last two weeks had held two (2) sessions of Writing Workshop by Pastor Ayub Yahya...for FREE...underlined, please. All in all, thank you.

Hi Pak Jie,
ReplyDeleteI am so proud that you visit my blog. I need to learn a lot from the expert, from you. Sorry if it is still simple but I try to keep reading and writing. It is so hard in the beginning. Now, I feel that it is my need now...need to share.
Yes Pak Jie, I am in Singapore since last August 26. You are right. Bak Kut Teh is so delicious here. When our soup is finished, the waitress will add it more in our bowl. She will not let it dry. Happy krucuk2, Pak Jie.
Cheers,
Natalia C.
